Maintenance steps

First, cut off the power first. (Remove the battery positive connector)

Second, remove the connection of the electromagnetic switch, the two fixing screws of the engine on the car body, and remove the engine from the car.

Third, remove the two fixing screws that fix the stator and the rotor, and pull the stator out of the body.

1. Maintenance of the rotor: The head position of the rotor (with the flywheel) can be pulled out from the sleeve. Grease is added to the slideway of the flywheel, grease is added to the sleeve, and it is reinserted. The tail position of the rotor is commonly known as "copper head". ", (the copper head is the bonding point with the carbon brush), it can be lightly ground with fine sandpaper and ready to be inserted.

2. Maintenance of the stator: The stator has 4 sets of coils, 4 carbon brushes, and 4 compression springs on the carbon brushes. Remove the carbon brushes from the compression springs, and grind the joint surface of the carbon brushes and the copper head lightly. (arc), the back cover of the stator (also the back cover of the starter), is another service point (the tail shaft of the rotor), and the back cover sleeve is filled with grease.

Fourth, after completing the above steps, the composite installation can be carried out.

1. First, put the stator (shell) into the rotor.

2. After putting the back cover on, pull up the carbon brush compression spring, put the carbon brush in, and fasten the carbon brush screw.

3. Tighten the two fixing screws that fix the stator and the rotor (at this time, pay attention to the balance of the force of the two tightening screws, and they should be tightened gradually, otherwise the rotor will not run smoothly).

After completing the fourth step, you can rotate the flywheel by hand to test whether the rotation of the rotor is smooth, if not, and adjust the two fastening screws.

Fifth, install the maintained starter on the car body, fix it, connect the electromagnetic switch line, connect the battery line, and complete.
